BMW ENGINES

Choose between two award-winning straight-six, 3.0L BMW engines. Proven powertrains enhanced for the Grenadier to deliver peak torque at low revs and sustain it through the range. So you can maintain momentum and grip without stressing the engine. Ensuring full control when tackling tricky terrain. The refined and powerful turbo petrol engine produces 286PS and 450Nm. The twin turbo diesel, 249PS and 550Nm, for even more pulling power. 

LADDER FRAME

Rigid, strong, simple and stable. The foundations of the Grenadier come from its full box-sectioned ladder-frame chassis. The only choice for a 4X4 designed for reliable off-road performance. With a steel section up to 3.5mm, plus maximum corrosion protection thanks to a full E-coat treatment, cavity wax inside and powder coat outside. All backed by our class-leading 12-year, anti-perforation warranty.

PERMANENT 4X4

Permanent four-wheel-drive for reliable, instant traction on any surface. So you can enjoy uninterrupted journeys across any terrain. All made possible by the transfer case from industry leaders, Tremec, plus CV joints and prop shafts from automotive specialists, Dana Spicer.

OFF-ROAD GEOMETRY

The Grenadier is designed to get the job done off-road. A wheel at each corner ensures short overhangs front and rear. Ladder frame chassis for excellent ground clearance. High engine air intake and waterproofed electronics for confident wading.

ZF TRANSMISSION

We chose the 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF to simplify off-road driving so you can concentrate on the terrain – eyes on the trail, hands on the wheel. Enhanced with a heavy-duty torque converter, it’s tested and tuned for all conditions. Paired with our BMW powertrain, the renowned ZF8HP transmission extracts maximum engine performance with seamless shifts to maintain momentum. But if you do want to take control, simply select manual mode.

UPHILL AND DOWNHILL

Downhill Assist dynamically brakes individual wheels to enhance control on extreme descents. Uphill Assist automatically holds the Grenadier in position after you release the handbrake. Added safety when tackling seriously steep terrain.

SIGHTLINES

The high driving position and central instrument display give you an unimpeded view over the dash to the front corners of the vehicle. Clear view of your steering angle onscreen. Large wing mirrors provide excellent rear visibility. All essential for pinpoint wheel placement when tackling tricky off-road terrain.

RAISED AIR INTAKE

Our Raised Air Intake helps your engine breathe in hot and dusty environments by providing cleaner, cooler air, maintaining performance. Standard equipment on the Trialmaster trim, optional on all others. For even more extreme conditions, our Cyclone Pre-Cleaner attachment accessory further reduces dust intake.

WIRED

Adaptability built in. The pre-wired power you need at your fingertips. Open source design for whatever equipment you need. Three 10A circuits as standard, switchable from the Overhead Control Panel. For heavy duty applications including light bars and winches choose the High Load Auxiliary Switch Panel which provides four extra circuits (three 25A and one 500A), plus four integrated, weather-proof, roof-mounted sockets.

EVEN MORE LIGHTS

The powerful 40-inch lightbar is mounted to the Roof Rack or Roof Cross-bars. Plug into the dedicated pre-wired electrical roof socket, toggle the switch in the overhead control panel, and you have an extra 8,800 lumens at your disposal. Perfect for those night-time off-road adventures.
